Our Curriculum
Loving Arms™ Child Care and Preschool has adopted the Creative Curriculum® (Diane Trister-Dodge) as the basis of our educational programs for our Infant and Toddler programs throughout the Center. We also utilize the "Curiosity Corner", written by the Success for All Foundation at John Hopkins University for our Preschool program. They are used in conjunction with materials developed by Tyronica Burks, CFLE, our Education Director. The lesson plans created for use at Loving Arms™ Child Care and Preschool focus on meeting the socialization needs of children while supporting the emergence of early learning in every sector of development.
Infants and Toddler Education Curriculum
The Creative Curriculum by Diane Trister Dodge
The Creative Curriculum® approach used at Loving Arms™ Child Care and Preschool has been used widely in Head Start programs throughout the United States and is based on the latest research on the importance of early childhood education and the development of the brain.
Activities focus on meeting the socialization needs through interactions that are nurturing, consistent, and loving, along with appropriately challenging experiences. In such an environment, children learn to trust and joyfully explore their surroundings, making discoveries and developing a sense of themselves as competent learners and caring human beings.
The infant and toddler education programs at Loving Arms™ Child Care and Preschool allow the teachers to individualize the goals and objectives to fit the particular needs and interests of each child.
