General Questions

Q: What ages of children do you accept?

A: Loving Arms™ Child Care and Preschool provides a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children 6 weeks to 10 years of age. View information about our curriculum-based programs here.

Q: What are your hours of operation?

A: We are open Monday through Friday from 5:45 am to 6:00 pm. We provide full-day care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers. We also provide before-and-after-school care for children who are enrolled in Kindergarten through 10 years of age.

Q: Do you provide part-time or drop-in care?

A: Yes! Loving Arms™ Child Care and Preschool’s part-time/hourly programs are designed to introduce children 12 months (walking) to 6 years to their peers while engaging in fun curriculum-based activities in a structured environment. View all of our available child care programs here.

Q: Do you provide meals and snacks?

A: Yes! We serve hot meals and nutritious snacks. Our Center is equipped with a kitchen and staff trained in nutrition, USDA and Kansas Department of Education guidelines, and proper portions for young children. Weekly menus are posted on the parent board of each classroom.

Registering your Child(ren)

Q: What do I need to bring with me to sign-up for child care?

A: The registration process will require the following: Proof of income/source of income, Health and Immunization form, Immunization Record for all children being enrolled, and Authorization for Emergency Medical Care. If your child requires medication, you will also need the Authorization for Dispensing Medication form.

Q: How long does it take to enroll my chil(ren) at the Center?

A: The registration process usually takes between one to two hours. There are many forms required for the registration of your child(ren). We like to answer as many questions as possible during your enrollment and provide information on our safety procedures and other important items which are applicable at the time of registration.

Your Child's Comfort

Q: Can my child bring his/her favorite blanket or toy to school?

A: Yes, your child can bring his/her favorite blanket to school, however their favorite toy should be left at home to prevent damage or loss of the item. We offer special events where children can share items with their classmates.

Q: What methods does Loving Arms™ use for soothing my child?

A: Yes! During your registration process, we do an interview with you to learn the techniques you use at home to soothe your child. Whenever possible, we use the same techniques that work for your child at home.

Q: Is there a special place for my child's belongings?

A: Yes! All children have their own cubby for their items located in each of the classrooms.

Q: What is the attendance policy when my child is ill?

A: We want your child to be healthy while at Loving Arms™ Child Care and Preschool. To ensure he/she stays healthy, we require that children do not attend school until they are fever-free for 24-hours - this helps keep your child and their classmates healthy.

Safety and Security

Q: How secure is your monitoring system?

A: Loving Arms™ Child Care and Preschool has implemented stringent security measures to protect against unauthorized access to the classroom cameras. All of our web cam systems use encryption to protect usernames and passwords. Watch a video of example footage from our parent cameras here.

Q: What are some of Loving Arms™ Facility Safety Features?

A: Loving Arms™ Child Care and Preschool #1 priority is the safety of children in our care including monthly fire drills, routine tornado procedures and Care Team certification. Find out more about our facility safety features here.

Q: What is your procedure in the event of severe weather?

A: Loving Arms™ Child Care and Preschool has procedures in place in case of a tornado, flood or other severe weather. If weather becomes severe, we will take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of children in our care. You can read more about our procedures here.

Q: Will my child be supervised at all times?

A: Yes! A member of our Care Team will be supervising your child at all times - even during quiet or nap time. Loving Arms™ also adheres to Infant Safe Sleep guidelines and has implemented other policies for older children to have the safest possible environment while in our care.

Health Information

Q: What is the attendance policy when my child is ill?

A: We want your child to be healthy while at Loving Arms™ Child Care and Preschool. To ensure he/she stays healthy, we require that children do not attend school until they are fever-free for 24-hours - this helps keep your child and their classmates healthy.

Q: What sanitation procedures are used at Loving Arms™ Child Care and Preschool?

A: Our facility is cleaned everday using a safe disenfactant, including all toys and equipment, classrooms, bathrooms, and offices.

Q: How often is Loving Arms™ Child Care and Preschool inspected?

A: We adhere to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) statutes of being inspected yearly. Our Care Team also routinely inspects equipment and supplies for use by children while at our child care center.

Payments

Q: Do you accept DCF Subsidies?

A: Yes! We are committed to making quality child care accessible to everyone. You can view the current DCF income guidelines from the link provided on our Child Care Assistance Resource page.

Q: Do you accept Military Subsidies?

A: Yes! We are a recommended provider through NACCRRA and Child Care Aware which have programs for Military families, you can find out more about the program here.

Q: What types of payments do you accept?

A: We accept most major credit cards for payments. Continuing tuition payments are processed through Tuition Express electronic payments. You can access a sign-up form on your Parent Resource page. We do not accept checks, money orders, or cash for payments.

Q: What are your tuition rates?

A: Tuition rates vary according to the age of your child. We encourage all prospective parents to come in and tour our facilities and further discuss rates. Feel free to visit us during our walk-in hours of 9:00 am and 2:00 pm or schedule a tour for a time more convenient for you. Program fees start at $55 per week.
